Ice Sculpture Trail
On Sunday, Norwich hosted an ice sculpture display at various places of interest around the city. Despite the extreme cold, it was a beautiful clear day and Isaac and I thoroughly enjoyed seeking out the 10 sculptures.  Maybe next time the organisers will be sensible enough to organise the event in July when it will be much warmer. Unfortunately Heidi woke up with a terrible headache and was therefore unable to join us.  Â
These angels either side of the St Andrew’s cross were outside St Andrews ChurchÂ
An enormous lobster on Lobster Lane
A fearsome dragon outside Dragon Hall
A beautiful swan on swan lane
The judge outside the Guild Hall
A Victorian Gentleman on Hay Hill
and finally a lion on White Lion Street. We didn’t see the last 2 sculptures because, like the sculptures, we were both starting to feel a little frozen. So we made our way home to see mummy and to enjoy the warmth of our Christmas decorations.
We told Heidi all about our adventures but to my embarrassment it was only when I was describing to Heidi where the sculptures were located that I realised the connection between the display and the location.  A swan on Swan Lane, a lobster on Lobster Lane?  Doh!Â
