The 7th Day of Advent

Day 7 and the stage is rapidly building up.  To my dismay Daddy told me that as a week had gone by it was about time that I got the duster out to give it a good clean.

So here I am dusting away on the stairs.  What a task master my Dad is. Does anybody have the number for Social Services?

Daddy said that we had to clean up because we had friends coming to dinner on Sunday.  So together we spent the day Spring cleaning and even put up all of the Christmas decorations.  Daddy also laid the table with Christmas crackers to boot.  In the meantime mummy went shopping to buy the beef.  Everything was ready for a good old bash with our friends.

Unfortunately, we hadn’t anticipated the power cut at 2.30 in the morning.  Electricity wasn’t restored until teatime and so we had to take all of the food to Linda and Ralf’s house and cook the meal there.  We still had a lovely time and at least we didn’t have to do any washing up.
