Introducing the Wynnster Orion 7

When we went camping in June, Eleanor’s mum and dad proudly introduced us to their brand new tent. My mummy was well jeolous of its palatial grandeur. So, not to be outdone, a couple of weeks ago we went and bought a new tent ourselves. The Wynnster Orion 7, otherwise known as Winnie.

Having seen that the weather forecast was good, we set off impromptu for a lovely camping site at Walnut Tree Farm in Waxham on the Norfolk coast. Unfortunately, we didn’t set off until 6 o’clock Friday evening and arrived at the site with just 30 minutes of daylight left. A brand new tent, dim light and an irritable, tired little boy was not a good combination for a calm assembly. Yet, against all the odds they did it.

Pride Rock

We found a great rock for me to set up all my toys on. I called it Pride Rock. This is how I look when I’m feeling proud.

The Norfolk countryside looked great late on Saturday afternoon when we trotted down to the beach.

Tiring business

Everytime we go to the beach mummy and daddy insist on building sand castles and making large trenches to divert the sea. They get so excited about the whole thing yet everytime the sea just comes in and washes away their futile efforts. They always get me to help them. It’s such tiring business. I’d much rather just lie down and read a good book.

In the dunes

Apparently, so my dad tells me, he used to spend a lot of time mucking around in these dunes when he was younger. Uhm. Least said the better I think.

On Sunday, Mark, Suzi, Gabbie and Millie came and joined us at Pride Rock for lunch.

Friends Reunited

It was great to see them all and we had a lot of fun tripping over the guide ropes and throwing frisbys into each others faces. Dad was particularly pleased they came, especially when Mark said he’d help us take Winnie down again.

Let’s just hope they’re able to come the next time we go camping, or better still come just in time to help us take the tent down.
