I want Jesus song!

I would like to introduce you to Gerry who my mummy and daddy first met when my Godmother Nick lived in Bristol. Gerry was the worship leader at the church that Nick went to when she lived in Bristol where she became a good friend. In November 2003 mummy and daddy went on holiday with Nick, Gerry and others to Aix en Provence at a time when Gerry was putting the final preparations together for her new album called Surprising.
The CD is brilliant. So good in fact that I refuse to let mummy and daddy listen to anything else when I’m in the car. Only The Archers is an acceptable alternative. Daddy thinks that he knows the album better than Gerry does. Yet despite having listened to the CD umpteen times, they assure me that they still love it themselves; a true mark of a great album. My favourite song on the CD is the Jesus song. Actually the song is called First but that’s what I call it. The moment that we get into the car I shout ‘Jesus song, I want Jesus song’ from my seat and despite mummy and daddy’s protestations I usually win through. This is what one reviewer has to say about Gerry -
‘She leads with an attitude of personal worship rather than performance and a keen awareness of what is going on and how the Holy Spirit is moving through the meeting and on top of all that she has a fantastic vocal range and voice.’
Check out Gerry’s own website where you can read her biography and purchase her CD’s. www.geraldinelatty.com
When Nick and Jon got married in April Gerry sat on our table. Unfortunately, not knowing who she was then I rather embarrassed myself (not to mention my parents) by throwing a spoon across the table clattering into the many glasses that were laid out for the wine and champagne.
Oh, one last thing if you get to read this blog entry Gerry, Daddy says please please please can you produce another CD soon before the album title changes from Surprising to Predictable.
